FORWARDERD BY KEN WHITE (AUSTRALIAN ART CRITIC) Internationally recognized artist Wayne Strickland calls himself an "Australian Historical Artsist". The bronze sculptor, oil painter is passionate about his country, it's characters and that passion shines through his unique work.

Wayne - strives to create sense of identity for Australians through his art. "I try to get Australians to look at themselves and their heritage", Wayne says.

The former Tasmanian who now lives on the Sunshine Coast works hard as an artist. He holds about 5 exhibitions a year.

He has been Painting and Sculpting for over 30 years and won many awards for his efforts.

Wayne's rural background led to a special affinity for horses and other animals, his attention to his sculptures means he can accurately depict a horses breed and type. One of his more famous works Pharlap - created under the watchful eye of the famous horsestrapper Tommy Woodcock is currently on display at National Gallery Victoria. A safe invertment for all art lovers.
