The Retreat is designed in the style of a traditional Australian homestead from a bygone era with the main guest lounge, reception, restaurant and bar located in the original Homestead. The individual cottages all have a distinctive character ranging from a quaint Chinese cottage built in the late 1800's to a six bedroom cottage which was formally the Station Manager's home.

All 31 deluxe guest rooms and suites offer panoramic views of the surrounding picturesque mountains and valleys from large verandahs.

Things to do: Situated on a 10,000 acre working cattle station near Grandchester in South East QLD, there's so much to do without even leaving the front gate including a golf driving range, two swimming pools, games room, tennis court, croquet lawn, mountain bikes, gym and exercise room, horse riding, 4WD tours, Clay target shooting , boules and archery If pampering and relaxation is what you are looking for, enjoy a massage or beauty treatment and indulge in the gourmet cuisine at Cotton's Restaurant and Bar. Cottons Restaurant is closed from 1 January to the 28th of February 2010 due to refurbishment. The Laidley Room will be open daily from 8am to 9.30am for Breakfast and from 6pm for dinner.
