As its name suggests, the Park is committed to recreation. Located just 18 km north east of Adelaide city centre, Anstey Hill Recreation Park it is not only a location full of natural attractions for visitors but most also provides critical habitat protection for many species of flora and fauna found nowhere else.
The site is diverse, divided by a number of short creeks and steep gullies, and forms an attractive backdrop for all occasions.
Over 145 species of native birds, 35 reptile and amphibians and some 289 native flora species have been recorded. If you are a keen photographer, there is a wealth of brilliance in the rare colours and appearances of species.
