The vineyard at Chateau Leamon was established in 1973 on the northern slopes of Big Hill, close to the goldfields city of Bendigo, Victoria. Chateau Leamon produced its first wine in 1977 and quickly established an enviable reputation for producing premium wines which have won many awards and received critical acclaim.
Winemaker Ian Leamon has maintained a consistently high standard of winemaking through the 1980's 90's and the new century, producing intensely full flavoured Shiraz, Cabernet Merlot and Semillon. His top-shelf reds are powerful with savoury fruit and spice, oak and plenty of depth and complexity to last for years to come. In addition to the Bendigo range of wines, they also source a small quantity of outstanding Riesling from the Strathbogie Ranges.
