The Condong Sugar Mill is surrounded by land used predominantly for sugar cane cultivation and only located about 4.5km north of Murwillumbah in northern New South Wales.
Features include a major co-generation project at the mill, SEMF designed a conveyor system for bagasse (sugar cane trash) fuel. This is cutting edge technology leading the state of NSW.
Other interesting elements of the SEMF designed system included the storage bin, stacker/ reclaimer and truck loading hoppers.
Tours are scheduled to continue in 2010.
