Gunns Plains Caves is an exciting natural attraction in the Cradle Mountain area of Tasmania. Located just 30mins from Penguin and Ulverstone, these stunning limestone caves are easily accessible by most people - tours are conducted hourly, 365 days a year.

Wind your way through 325m of fully lit stairs and flat paths, past amazing stalagmite and stalactite formations. Tours are all fully guided, with highly experienced staff. Some of the creatures found in the caves are giant freshwater lobster, platypus, fish, eels, and glow-worms.

When planning a tour of the caves, it is advised that you arrive a little ahead of the scheduled tour time in order to arrange groups and organise cameras etc. Comfortable walking shoes should be worn, and warm clothing is a must.
