Flood Reserve is the only commercial vineyard established on the Far North Coast of New South Wales Australia. With 2.5 Ha in vines, wines are produced using very simple, traditional methods. The vineyard was founded in 1997 by Brian Mull.
White wines are produced from Verdelho and Chardonnay grapes and the reds from Chambourcin and Cabernet Sauvignon. Each year's growing season can vary greatly and therefore the wine made varies as well.
The vineyard itself is set atop the rich red soil of a property which was the original flood reserve farmland near Red Hill at Tatham, New South Wales. Mr. Brian Mull, the owner of Flood Reserve, has gradually planted out tracts of the property with vines sourced from Griffith and Port Macquarie.
