Thomas and Andrew Chirnside travelled to Australia in the mid 1800s from Scotland. Armed with determination and motivated by their family motto 'do or die', the brothers set about creating a vast pastoral empire.

There are 10 ha's of exquisite gardens surrounding the mansion. Features include an ornamental parterre, a grotto, heritage listed trees and expansive manicured lawns.
