The best way to experience native Australian flora is at Burrendong Botanic Garden and Arboretum. Founded in 1964 the gardens were established to preserve Australia's unique range of flora.
Encompassing over 164 ha of land, the gardens are a great place to explore, with opportunity for an array of activities. Take part in a free guided tour on the third Sunday of each month, or go at your own pace and do a self guided tour any day you like.
The Burrendong Botanic Garden and Arboretum also sell many different kinds of plants, including unusual species that commercial nurseries don't stock.
Open everyday of the year from 7:30am till sunset.
