Avondale Discovery Farm

Avondale is a working Research Station which is part of Agriculture Western Australia. Agricultural research is conducted on Avondale, which is aimed at improving the efficiency and productivity of farming activities.

The historic part of Avondale features restored farm buildings of the 1800's as well as restored agricultural machinery, and domestic appliances. The farm machinery collection is probably the largest in Australia.

A fauna and flora reserve is being developed in a rare attempt to restore an area to its natural state after nearly 150 years of grazing. Incorporating a walk trail to allow visitors sustainable access.
