Details

History: Palm House was originally owned by the hon. William Blair Grey. He arrived in town as a miner and subsequently a railway worker, he went on to become one of Maldon's founding fathers and a pillar of the community. Palm House then became a doctors surgery for William's son. As you stroll through the gardens evidence of old medicinal plants abound. Located within the historic precinct we are a short walk to specialty shops, cafes and restuarants. Walk to the Maldon Train Station and board the restored steam Victorian Goldfields Railways train and travel through Muckleford forest to Castlemaine. In Castlemaine enjoy another goldfields town with much history to offer.
