An extensive range of functional and sculptural ceramics by Hunter Valley and other potters. Paintings are all works by local artists in different media.

Built in 1883 of sandstock bricks and sandstone the historic Buchanan Public School served the community for 80 years. Set in two acres in the grounds of the teacher's residence and school. The gallery has been restored to serve again this time as a centre for craft work for the Hunter Valley region.
