Honeycomb Valley - a finalist in the 2010 North Coast Tourism Awards - is a 90 acre family farm where you'll have a whole lot of fun, spend lots of time with friendly animals, and learn new skills too!

Honeycomb Valley offers: - cottage accommodation with fun hosted farm activities - beekeeping & breadbaking courses - tour bus groups by appointment, with lunch cooked in the largest solar oven in Australia - a range of "farmerceuticals" made with the farm's own honey, beeswax and goat's milk

During morning and afternoon hosted farm activities, you'll get to help feed alpacas, ponies, sheep who come for pats, chooks who live in colourful caravans, gorgeous panda bear cows and dairy goats. There are pedal boats on the dam, fish in it, and lots of toys for the kids to play with as well as a solar heated pool.

There are only two cottages on the farm, and the Campbell family, so there won't be any long queues for the pony ride, and you'll enjoy a campfire under a beautiful starry sky.

The two fully self-contaied cottages are fully equipped, have fenced fireplaces, air-con & fans, as well as fresh linen and a spacious verandah overlooking magnificent view. Breakfast supplies for your first morning are included, as well as fresh eggs throughout your stay.

Honeycomb Valley farm stay is really child friendly and only 3 hrs North of Sydney and just off the Pacific Highway.

You can explore the area and go fishing, surfing or simply soak up the sun on our beautiful beaches only 20 minutes drive or go west and have a great day bush walking, picnicing at Gloucester Tops or canoeing on the Barrington River. If you want to go trail riding, there's a great spot 15 minutes away.

There are lots of things to do in Nabiac including a visit to the National Motorbike Museum, a browse of the bric-a-brac shops, grab a capuccino at the cafes or head down to the family-friendly pub bistro for a great meal...it's just 2 minutes from the farm. Pack a piocnic lunch for a day trip to the magnificent Ellenborough Falls. There's so much to see and do or just relax on the farm.

Things to do
Plenty to see and do in Nabiac Village from antique, pottery and craft shops to Devon shire tea at the Amish Country Barn, have a game of tennis or simply try Jan's cooking at the Kit & Kaboodle Restaurant all just 3 minutes away. Some of the activities that we have on our farm for children as well as parents are - milking the goats, feeding all the farmyard animals such as cows, horses, goats, sheep and, our own Babe, the cutest pig you'll find not starring in a movie (been approached for a mini series though). There's also egg-collecting from the chooks and feeding the peacocks. Our rabbits and guinea pigs love cuddles from small children.
Further Information
Riding on the pony is a must for the littlies and driving around in the trailer on the back of a small tractor is a fun time they won't forget. In October school holidays there's sheep shearing. From October to February we extract honey from our bees every three weeks. Farm life is sensational. The lambs are born in June / July and baby goats are born anytime between July, August and September. We have an outdoor barbecue area and also free laundry facilities. There's a cot available in each cottage with sheets and a quilt for baby. One of our most popular services here at Country Roads is our holistic massage.
