Built as a Telegraph Station in 1859 and now the home of the Gawler National Trust. This two storey building of local stone with slate roof is the oldest surviving public building in Gawler.

Everyday living is featured in the museum displays including a pioneer kitchen and laundry. The museum also contains rare and interesting early musical instruments and artefacts from explorer John McKinlay, items and history of Gawler's industrial companies and early telegraph display.

Can be opened for groups by arrangement.
