A life-sized, bronze of Castor and Pollux, the stallions, greet guests as they approach the winery through the avenue of picturesque oriental plane trees.

While you are visiting the cellar door, explore the striking three storey building which offers, from external and internal balconies, vineyard panoramas and views overlooking the working winery.
You will be intrigued by the Rymill family history. John Riddoch founded Coonawarra in 1890, his grandson, John Riddoch Rymill was a distinguished polar explorer, and his son Peter with his wife Judy, both farmers and keen equestrians, planted their first vineyards in 1974 and established the Rymill Coonawarra Winery in 1990.
