The Southern Tablelands most noted symbol, the Big Merino Ram, stands 152 metres high and 18 metres long, totalling 97 tonnes.
The merino houses three floors of activity. The first level comprises of a souvenir and gift shop specialising in sheepskin and woollen products, lanolin products, toys, Australian items and crafts made by local craftsmen.
The second level comprises of an educational display featuring the history of wool and the wool industry. From here you climb to the top level for a 'sheeps' eye view of the city of Goulburn.
Part of the complex is the Billabong Restaurant and Tavern. The restaurant is licenced and open 24 hours. Try delicious country roasts, a variety of hearty meals or just coffee and cake.
