West Coast Yacht Charters offers skippered cruises on Macquarie Harbour,and the famous Gordon River from Strahan on the west coast of Tasmania.

Enjoy a relaxing 3hr. Crayfish Lunch, Kayak and Fishing Cruise on Macquarie Harbour; visit Sarah Island, or take the unique Upper Gordon River Cruise to sleep aboard "Stormbreaker" overnight

Activities include fishing and kayaking,swimming and photography. Cruises are all inclusive, with meals and equipment provided.

West Coast Yacht Charters is the ONLY overnight accommodation on the Gordon River.

Bed and Breakfast aboard "Stormbreaker" at the Strahan wharf is a novel way to spend the night, and is available from 5pm till 9am. She has 2 private double cabins, and a large 8 bunk cabin, with both bathrooms and living areas shared by all guests.

Details

Tours: Crayfish Lunch, Fishing and Kayak Cruise Depart Strahan at 12 noon to enjoy a short cruise of about 20 minutes, after which we anchor in a quite cove to enjoy our Crayfish or smoked salmon and cold meats with salad lunch. We also include dessert, and a complimentary beer, wine, or soft drink. You can kayak or fish from the yacht, or just relax in this beautifully peaceful part of the world. We return to Strahan by approximately 3pm.
Tours: Rafter Collection Cruise The 65ft steel ketch "Stormbreaker" is the only commercially licensed yacht to sail Macquarie Harbour and then cruise to the Upper Gordon River. Cruises are overnight, berthing near the cascading waters of Sir John Falls on the Gordon River, where up to 10 passengers can sleep on board. You can kayak and fish on the Gordon River. All meals, linen included. Departing Strahan at 2pm. we cruise the length of Macquarie Harbour, then go up the Gordon River to Sir John Falls. Your evening meal, breakfast and lunch are included. Rafters who have come down the mighty Franklin River board the yacht in the morning to share the return trip to Strahan, arriving approx. 1pm. We have found that it is best to take children 12 years or older. Ad $280 Ch $140 (12-14)
Tours: One Night Gordon River Cruise Cruise the calm waters of Macquarie Harbour on the ocean going yacht "Stormbreaker" to spend the night 5 km into the Gordon River at Heritage Landing. Depart Strahan at 2pm and cruise for a guided tour of Sarah Island before meandering your way along the Gordon River to Heritage Landing. Here you can do some kayaking and fishing before enjoying your evening meal and night aboard. The next morning you'll have breakfast and lunch on the return trip to Strahan, arriving at approx. 1pm. "Stormbreaker" has 2 double cabins, and a large cabin with 6 single bunks, two bathrooms, and a large saloon area below. Ad. $320 Ch. $160 (12 - 14 inclusive)
