Cobb+Co is part of the Queensland Museum and is home to the National Carriage Collection. It also incorporates a custom built heritage trades complex, which is used for regular workshops and displays. The National Carriage collection features Cobb+Co coaches and a large range of vehicles from the horse drawn era. These include farm wagons, delivery carts, omnibuses and the Rolls Royce of carriages, the landau. Other Galleries at Cobb+Co feature extensive displays on the natural and cultural history of Toowoomba and the Darling Downs.
Cobb+Cos popular heritage workshops program includes one and two day weekend workshops in trades and skills such as blacksmithing, silversmithing, leadlighting, leatherwork, stonemasonary and copperfoiling. These workshops are conducted in the custom built Factory area.
A number of these facilities were added, updated or expanded during the Museums recent $8 million redevelopment which was officially opened in September of 2010.
