Showcasing the native plants of the Barossa, Idyllically located on the banks of the North Para River in the township of Nuriootpa, this innovative community project is the place to go to see the Barossas flora, complete with walking trails and interpretive signage as well as individual plant signage for easy identification.

In addition Barossa Bushgardens is a functioning native seed orchard, sanctuary for many locally threatened species, and an educational facility, with a high level of community involvement. Every plant in the Bushgardens is adopted and cared for by local people. In its four years of existence Barossa Bushgardens has won four awards, including a prestigious South Australian Great Award.
