Hanging Rock Winery is located just north of the famous Hanging Rock landmark, only a 55 minute drive from Melbourne in The Macedon Ranges Wine region of Victoria, Australia.

Established in 1983 by John and Ann Ellis, our flagship wine is our sparkling 'Macedon', a Champagne style sparkling unashamedly modelled on Krug and Bollinger.

Like many of the small family owned vineyards all over Europe, the essence of Hanging Rock, is the people who live and work there. No wine factory here, everything from the beautiful rural surrounds to the warm cellar door welcome are part of what makes The Hanging Rock Winery such a special place to visit.

Opening Times: The Hanging Rock Winery is open 7 days a week 10 am to 5 pm all year around, except Christmas Day and Good Friday.

I visited Hanging Rock Winery last weekend as I was in the area for the Harvest Picnic. They have a huge range of wines which all seem to be good value for money. There are not many wineries in the area that are open 7 days and have wines below $20 but Hanging Rock does ... Read More
