Canberra Theatre Centre

There are always some fresh and exciting performing arts and entertainment taking place on stage, including comedy acts, contemporary dance, bands and music, Shakespeare, ballet, musicals and circus.

The Theatre Centre comprises of three unique venues, located in the heart of the city in Civic Square on London Circuit. The Canberra Theatre is a proscenium arch theatre with the capacity to seat 1244 patrons in one raked tier.

The Playhouse seats 618 people over three levels and its design implements Grecian and Elizabethan architectural principles, providing superb sight lines, while maintaining an intimate atmosphere.

The Courtyard Studio is Canberra Theatre's intimate rehearsal space and an ideal venue for entertaining, corporate functions, meetings or exhibition space.
