Cape Horn Vineyard, located on a sand hill wedged between the Murray and Goulburn Rivers, is named after the river bend resembling Cape Horn on the tip of South America.

The main emphasis is on high quality fruit with low yields maintaining intense colour and flavour. Today Cape Horn Vineyard offers visitors tastings at the cellar door of a fine selection of wines made from our own fruit. Pack a picnic and take the short trip to Cape Horn Vineyard, on the Murray River Just 15km by road East of Echuca or 30min by speedboat. We also cater for groups such as weddings.

History
The Vineyard was first planted to Shiraz grapes in the 1860's serving the thriving River Boat trade. Being half way between Echuca and Barmah, Cape Horn was a convenient stopping spot for the river boats. The Vineyard and Winery evolved as a consequence. Cape Horn was also a popular picnic spot for day trippers from Echuca in the 1900's.
