Bring your binoculars to Point Labatt Conservation Park! It is home to the only accessible permanent colony of Australian Sea-lions on the Australian mainland. Here you can observe the sea-lions in their natural environment from a safe, fenced cliff top viewing area.

Want more? Sea birds including, Pied Cormorants, Red-necked Stints and Crested Terns can also be seen as they congregate on the rocks amongst the sea-lions.

Conventional vehicles (your car) can access the viewing area by road.

Getting There
From Streaky Bay via Sceale Bay Take the Sceale Bay Road (unsealed) south to the t-junction with the Calca Road (unsealed). Travel east along the Calca Road to the Point Labatt signpost then turn south and travel along this unsealed track for 19km to the park. From Streaky Bay via Flinders Highway Take the Flinders Highway (sealed) southeast for 28km to the Calca turnoff to the south. Travel along this unsealed road to the Calca-Sceale Bay Road turn off. Take this road west for 9km to the Point Labatt turnoff to the park 19km south.
