Stroll among hundreds of live butterflies in our all weather indoor rainforest setting. Share the world of the butterfly as they fly, court, mate, sip nectar or rest in the light showing off their fascinating colours and patterns.

Our outdoor maze area will have you hunting for clues to answer our quiz. The colour maze will have all members of your family trying to work out the levels of difficulty. Our garden room provides a beautiful setting to relax in and indulge in lovely homemade morning or afternoon teas or light lunches.

Experience the wonder and beauty of the butterfly in its own fully enclosed subtropical garden. Coffs Harbour Butterfly House offers visitors the opportunity to stroll in tranquil surroundings and enjoy the only public display of live butterflies in NSW.

What a wonderful place to learn!! You can discover the secrets of the life cycle of the butterfly, search for well-hidden eggs, caterpillars and pupae and witness the miracle of metamorphosis.

A memento of your visit, a gift for a special friend or a butterfly bargain can be found in the souvenir shop. A display of woodturning for the discerning craft buyer is also available. The Butterfly House is open all year round and is a great place to experience the world of the butterfly.

Getting There: Located conveniently near the Pacific Highway, the Coffs Harbour Butterfly House is 9 km south of Coffs Harbour on Strouds Rd at Bonville. Driving to the Butterfly House from locations South or Southwest of Coffs Harbour, after travelling through the small township of Bonville you will notice BROWN Coffs Harbour Butterfly House road signs. These will indicate a left off-ramp to exit the Pacific Highway to Strouds Rd. Follow these signs to visit the Butterfly House. Our property signs will also be quite visible. Driving from the North or Northwest of Coffs Harbour, continue along the Pacific Highway 9 kms from the CBD & you will notice BROWN Coffs Harbour Butterfly House road signs. The off-ramp on your left, the exit to Lyons and Strouds Roads, will take you to The Butterfly House.

The Butterfly House can offer your guests a guided tour of the Butterfly enclosure and a choice from our delectable menu as you relax in the Garden Room. Whatever the occasion, the time or the size of your function, we will endeavour to give you a unique experience. Our Garden Room can seat up to 60 guests and we can organise a menu to suit your group's needs.
