Come and explore the life of the honeybee! Taste a wide range of pure Australian honey. Discover the amazing secrets of the honeybee. Safely behind glass you can watch the bees hard at work. See the Queen Bee lay her eggs (she can lay 2000 eggs in one day!), and maybe even see a new baby bee hatch!

Inside the new interactive beehive the story of the honeybee is told in a fun and light-hearted way. The interactive beehive is the centrepiece of our interpretation centre and is especially popular with children. A collection of straw skeps and other artefacts show what beekeeping was like in the early 1800's.

Over 50 different varieties of unique and trend honeys are produced at The Honey Farm. These can be tasted free of charge. You will also find that we stock the most complete range of honey related gift items as well as honeybee medicinal products such as Propolis, Pollen, Royal Jelly and Tasmanian Manuka.

Before leaving don't miss the delicious honey ice cream. Made from local honey and fresh Tasmanian cream it has fast gained a very impressive reputation. Mail Order is also available.
