Providence Vineyard is located near the township of Lilydale, in the Tamar Valley, northern Tasmania. The Vineyard is a 25-minute drive northeast of Launceston on the Tamar Valley Wine Route.

Providence was founded by French winemaker Jean Miguet in 1956 and is the oldest of Tasmania's modern vineyards. The two-hectare (five-acre) vineyard produces pinot noir and chardonnay and a small amount of riesling. The original pinot noir and chardonnay vines planted by Jean Miguet in 1956 still produce fruit used in the current vintages.

You can taste the range of award winning Providence wines at the cellar door most of the year and by appointment during winter (July and August). The vineyard also sells a range of other fine Tasmanian wines, and your purchases can be freighted throughout Australia.
