The photograph collection is maintained at the Co-op Museum and is another source of research for genealogists. It is very extensive, especially in the area of maritime transport, both merchant marine and naval vessels.
The building stayed as such until 1880 and since then has seen many changes. The society has hard the use of this building situated in the heart of Albany since early 1993.
The Patrick Taylor Cottage Museum, the first section of which was built of wattle and daub by the Morley brothers in 1831 and purchased by Patrick Taylor a local settler and landowner as a town residence, used mainly by his wife and daughters. The building was a residence even post world war two. The Society obtained the tenure of it in 1962 after it has been without use for a few years. Today, set amongst garden beds
