Croajingolong National Park is a vast 87,500aa wilderness which extends along 100km of Victoria's East Gippsland coast.

Protecting remote beaches, tall forest, coastal heathland, rainforest, granite peaks and estuaries; the park attracts photographers and nature lovers.

With a vast network of walking trails, visitors can easily explore the incredible wilderness - permits from Parks Victoria. Diverse flora and fauna make for excellent nature studies and photography.

Some of Australia's best flat-water canoeing can be enjoyed on the rivers and inlets of the park, and recreational fishing is permitted within the park - permits are required.

Details

History: The park was originally home to the Krauatungalung aboriginal people, part of the Kurnai (Gunai) nation, and descendents continue to live in the area today - maintaining links with the park.
Getting There: Croajingolong National Park is in the far eastern corner of Victoria, about 450 km east of Melbourne and 500 km south of Sydney (Melway ref: 629 J5). Access roads lead from the Princes Highway or from Mallacoota. All roads in the park have gravel surfaces - check road conditions after heavy rain.
