"Exciting, informative, educational" - that's the promise when you visit the Snakes Downunder Reptile Park and take in the live handling shows. Get up close and personal and meet the world's most venomous snakes who call Australia home. Your host Ian Jenkins has been handling snakes for over 40 years.
Through his presentation you will come to understand a little more about our native reptiles and their place in our environment. Snakes Downunder is affordable entertainment for the whole family. Nestled amongst palms, shady gums and native shrubs, the arena is surrounded by landscaped rock walls, gardens and a nearby pond and waterfall area. The arena provides a safe and secure position to view these hypnotic reptiles in a relaxed, informal atmosphere where you have the opportunity to ask questions and take photographs as each of the twelve or more venomous and non venomous species are handled.
Among the many new reptiles and frogs on display are a pair of adult saltwater crocs which can be viewed in complete safety via a covered walkway allowing you to get so close you feel you could touch them. A daily feeding display is accompanied by a full commentary.
You can use your own camera while handling a python and young crocodile (free).Staff are always on hand to make sure you can see the nimals and to answer any questions you may have.
