Beaton Park Leisure Centre

Beaton Park Leisure Centre, incorporating the Illawarra Regional Athletics Complex is located within 2 km of the Central Business District of Wollongong. The complex was originally inspired by Council Alderman Ted Tobin as necessary in facilitating the Illawarra's recreational needs.

His vision became a reality in 1981 when the first stages of Beaton Park were constructed. For more than 20 years Beaton Park Leisure Centre has developed and grown into the premier recreational/sporting facility in the Illawarra.

The centre has won a number of fitness awards and has gained a strong reputation throughout NSW. The Beaton Park Leisure Centre is managed directly by Wollongong City Council and is an accredited provider with both Active Australia and FitnessNSW.
