Flynn dreamed of an Inland cathedral where people of all faiths could worship. After his death, his friends across Australia built one in his memory.
It was opened by the Prime Minister in 1956, and its design was a result of a national architectural competition incorporating passive cooling, local and national symbolism in its design.
Take a self-guided tour, walking the sign of the Cross built into its design, and learning about the many aspects of Flynn's achievements in his life. Take a moment to reflect on his life, and your own, in this peaceful sanctuary.
'Walking in the Footsteps of Flynn.' A part of the Flynn Trail in Central Australia.
