3 Hrs inland from Mackay and 1 Hr from Emerald, Clermont is situated in the centre of the Goldfields which produces GOLD in shallow ground. Since first discovered in 1862. There are 9 areas that have been declared for General Permission Fossicking. They cover 1000's of Hectares and continually produce Nuggets for the careful Fossickers who use their Detectors patiently and skillfully.

Nature in the wild - You get to see many species of bird life, Kangaroos, Echidnas, Emu, Dingo etc., While walking or travelling through the Goldfields.
