Maritime Museums exhibition Maritime Tasmania. An exciting new exhibition in the heart of Sullivans Cove, diagonally opposite the world famous Constitution Dock on the corner of Davey and Argyle Streets.

This new exhibition features the best collection of Tasmania's maritime artefacts and stories and features some of the best pieces from the Museum's collection, including the Hatchway from Joseph Conrads barque Otago, the eagle stern-board from the 1856 American whaler Islander.

Other important themes featured in the new exhibition are Early reconnaissance of the Island, Whaling, the development of the Port of Hobart, Shipwrecks, the linking of communities including the Hobart Bridge disaster and Shipbuilding from the 1820s to 2000.
