Puddleduck Vineyard is located in the Coal River Valley on the road from Hobart to the Historic Township of Richmond. The Puddleduck Tasting room was opened in July 2005 and has been created to be a warm and inviting environment for people to enjoy the wines grown on the property.

The Puddleduck Vineyard wines are able to be tasted accompanied with local Tasmanian Cheeses and Coal River Valley stone and berry fruits while enjoying the views of feathered wildlife that both inhabit and visit the dam, complete with a back drop of the vineyard.

The wines currently being made by Puddleduck Vineyard include Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Rose and Pinot Noir, by early 2006 a Sparkling wine will be added to the range.

Further Information: At this stage the Puddleduck Vineyard wines are very exclusive with only very small quantities being made of each variety, which is why they are hard to find.

Thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Puddleduck. It was interesting to hear about its creation and especially the story behind the name and was very impressed to see that awards have already been won.
