The Harmonie German Club of Canberra was established in of June 1961. On the left-hand side of the driveway into the club building you can see a large segment of the Berlin Wall. It weighs 3.5 tonnes and stands 3.6 metres high by nearly two metres wide; it once stood in Potsdamer Platz close to the Brandenburg Gate. It is the largest section of the Wall in Australia and was unveiled on 3 October 1992 by Dr. Roever, the then Minister-Counsellor and Deputy Head of the German Embassy. It is dedicated to peace and unity throughout the world.
Regular Club activities include the Harmonie Choir, the Harmonie Air Rifle Club, the soccer club, Ceroc Partner Dancing, Australian Deer Association, Canberra City Dance Group, live music most Friday evenings, line dancing, meat raffels and badge draws. A Bistro is now operating on the ground floor, serving lunch and dinner 7 days a week. Lunch is from 12pm to 2pm, dinner from 6pm to 9pm.

We have a smaller conference room with an oval table that can seat 25 people. It has its own entrance and can be used for formal business meetings. We have a Beer Keller that can handle smaller groups for events like a birthday party or Christmas Function for up to about 75 people with ease.
