The flagship of the school, STS Wutuku (aboriginal for driftwood), is a 65ft Topsail Gaff rigged Ketch built in 1986 in Lemon Tree Passage, NSW. She is constructed of Oregon on spotted Gum and is powered with a 90hp Gardiner diesel. She is fitted with an extensive suite of navigation equipment.

Following a request from the NSW Department of Sports & Recreation we have developed a school holiday programme onboard the Sail Training Ship 'Wutuku'. This programme will be trialed during the January 06 School Holidays and will include learning about the problems encountered by early explorers Cook & Flinders.

Scouts NSW has contracted Tall Ship Sailing School to provide sail training for Scouts throughout the state. Initially the school will provide Introduction to Sailing Certificate courses in Sydney for older scouts and venturers operating from Wharf 7 with the support of the Australian Heritage Fleet operations division. We have just conducted the second course in Gosford with Scouts coming from as far away as Armidale. The next course which will run in Sydney is nearly booked out already.
