Back of Chapel offers centrally located backpacker hostel accommodation in Prahran, between St. Kilda beach and funky South Yarra. The staff at this Melbourne Backpackers are well travelled and informative.

Back of Chapel is a cool, boutique hostel with a maximum of 32 people housing doubles, twins and 4-6 bed dorms. Melbourne is Australia's centre of live music (approx. 400 rock bands play every weekend), clubbing with more clubs per capita than anywhere else in the world, food, bars, cafes, shopping (if you can't buy it here, they don't make it) and, oh yeah, did I mention beer?

Bars and restaurants are all around us in Chapel St, we also have free breakfast and a free barbecue on Sundays (in summer) / pie and chips at other times of the year. Back of Chapel Backpackers is ideally positioned for you to check out the best spots in Melbourne.

Special Features: Back of Chapel is a hostel offering free breakfast , free bbq, where only your feet have to do the walking and catching a tram is just for fun, everything is just minutes away. There's easy as access to the Australian Open (tennis centre), the Aust. Grand Prix, Aussie Rules football, Melbourne outdoor festivals (earthcore, big day out, falls music fest., St. Kilda beach, and Brunswick St. festivals and heaps more). If it's shopping you want, the best of designers are at our door. Be sure to check out South Yarra (bars, clubs and shopping central), Melbourne City and Fitzroy (Australia's undisputed grunge-rock capital). Oh yeah, and if you really want to check out Ramsey Street (yep, the one off Neighbours) we'll show you the way.
