From 3,000 attendees at the inaugural 2002 event, organisers say the eighth annual Manjimup Cherry Harmony Festival promises to be the best yet.
The town centre is closed for traffic and a variety of stalls and free activities including local solo artists and bands, fashion parades, log chopping, farmers markets, a wine tasting tent and the all-important Australasian Cherry Pip Spitting Contest.
The weekend's activities culminate with the Long Table Lunch, held in the ambience of a working cherry orchard where guests will be treated to the best of the region's produce prepared by chef Ian Leaning.
