Yoga Ways centre offers courses in Hatha Yoga, in the Vinyasa (flow) style for people of all ages and levels of fitness. The classes emphasis the integration of the body, mind and breath. With correct breathing, and physical alignment each Asana (posture) becomes therapeutic. Central Coast Yoga Ways Centre is based at East Gosford on the Central New South Wales Coast, and is located just 5 minutes form the Gosford CBD.
The aim of yoga is the harmonious development of the whole person: body, mind and spirit. The essence of Yoga practice is the stilling of movement in the mind. The word Yoga means union, the practices of Yoga unite or yoke the mind, body and breath enhancing emotional, mental and physical well-being. The ancient scriptures or Yoga Sutras which scientifically describe the system of Yoga were complied by Patanjali, a sage who lived during Indias Golden age between 2,000 - 4,000 years ago.
When the wholistic practices of Asana (postures), Pranayama (breath expansion), and Nidra (relaxation) are practiced regularily you deepen awareness, align the posture, increase flexibility, expand vitality and promote a calm and focused mind. Ultimately bringing you to a greater understanding of your true self and the world around you. Expressing your greatest potential and inner beauty.
