Located in the Woongarra Marine Park (part of the Great Sandy Marine Park) is an undeniably awesome experience. Head to Bundaberg's Mon Repos Conservation Park, part of the Woongarra Marine Park, to witness the miracle of turtle egg-laying and hatching.
View the nocturnal spectacle of hatching baby turtles in their natural environment, as they enter the world and then the sea in quick succession. This occurs from around mid-October to the end of April every year, with restricted access to beaches and a monitoring service instigated from every 15 October.
Rangers are on hand to provide educational commentary and guided beach tours, so you can discover the secrets of this beautiful park whilst learning about the lifestyle of endangered species, and witness one of nature's miracles into the bargain.
