Located in a heritage building in the main street, 1896 takes pride in its home-style cuisine and affordable prices. This family friendly café serves a selection of delicious cakes and coffees throughout the day as well as offering wholesome lunches and a la carte dinner menus Friday and Saturday night. Thursday night is their budget priced "all you can eat" night with the menu changing depending on the season - grills and salads in summer, wholesome curries and pasta in winter.

Owners Garry and Deb and their friendly staff will cater for your particular dining requirements. All you need do is ask. If you are planning a special event, why not ask 1896 to cater for you? The large space inside can seat over a hundred people comfortably with a menu designed to suit your taste and budget.

1896 supports the local artistic community by providing a venue for live music and space where art can be hung and displayed. This combined with cosy wood fires, country kitchen furniture and a relaxing ambience make 1896 the ideal place to dine when next you're in Bridgetown.
