the Farmstay is 5kms from Maidenwell at the foot of the Bunya Mountains National Park in sunny South East Queensland. Bunyip Springs Farm Stay offers a genuine farm holiday experience in our Cottage or the Lodge. Bunyip Springs cottage has a very mellow ambience. The 3 bedroom 1926 cottage includes many modern features to ensure your farm stay is comfortable! We include a gas stove/oven, microwave, TV/video, automatic washing machine.

Old time comforts to be enjoyed are an antique cast iron wood heater in the lounge room and a wood stove in the kitchen. Beds include 2 X Queen, 2 X single (twin share) plus a cot.

Cottage facilities include: wood heater; wood combustion stove; television; board games; BBQ; electricity; gas stove; microwave oven; laundry facilities; bath and shower; extra bedding available. The Lodge is a deluxe version of the cottage suitable for 2 x families to share. The Lodge also caters well for larger groups with a gas BBQ on the veranda.

Things to do: The farmstay has a set morning and afternoon routine with the animals and we welcome participation of guests in this daily acticvity. Farm "jobs" include feeding the hens, ducks and chickens, gathering eggs, hand milking the house cows prior to the calves being fed. Horses are included in the routine and children can feed, groom and even sit on one. The farm dogs also enjoy relaxing with guests and accompanying them on their farm holiday walks around the property.
Things to do: While you are staying at Bunyip Springs Farmstay, a visit to the Bunya Mountains is in order. Enjoy the many scenic walks, birds, wildlife, and take a picnic lunch or enjoy the treats available at the quality dine-in Tearooms or Restaurant. 5kms away, Maidenwell is also the home of the South Burnett-Maidenwell Astronomical Observatory. Our skies are rated as expectional - amongst the best in the world! Country Pub meals can be enjoyed at King's Hotel in Maidenwell and Maidenwell Trading Post general store offers dine-in cafe facilities.
Further Information: We appreciate potential guest contacting us with details of the number of adults and children (and ages) requiring accommodation so an accurate quote can be given prior to booking. EFTPOS facilities are not available so we advise EFT details for deposits. Cheques/postal orders are accepted. Balance for accom can be accepted as cash or cheque during your stay. PETS: Newly introduced animals cause a bit of farm yard havoc, so we regret that we can not offer pet accommodation.
