Getting There
Head out of Melbourne through Cranbourne, keep going through towards Phillip Island, don't go to Phillip island you must turn off on the A440 to Korumburra and Leongatha, go through both of these towns. Go past Koonawarra Store 2 to 4 km approximately and turn at Tarwin North (no town) towards Tarwin Lower (Clearly Signed Tarwin Lower / Venus Bay). At Tarwin lower turn left at the edge of town at the 1st roundabout to Walkerville. This road will come to a stop sign eventually, approx 20 km. Turn right down the winding hill through the trees towards the ocean and Walkerville North. Once you are at sea level look on the RHS for Waratah street, there are several "for sale" signs, take Waratah St and we are number 8 & 12 on the RHS, park under the shed.
Things to do
Walk to Walkerville south beach via the historic kilns and back through the bush and historic cemetery. Walk to the look out above the caravan park. Drive to the cape Liptrap light house. Costal walk from Bear gully back to Walkerville Sth, Bear Gully to Cape Liptrap (both need low tide and advanced walking) 2 of the best costal walks in this region. Fresh Fish off the boat, Wayne & Linda Cripps 5686 2352, The Wharf Port Franklin 30+km (whiting & flat head fillets) excellent. Day trips Tara Bungle National Park ( water falls, massive mountain ash trees, fern gullies suspension bridge). Day trips to the prom.
