Anchorage Restaurant and Cocktail Bar, based at The Boat Harbour Motel Woolongong, is a relaxed harbourside restaurant with fun, nautical decor.

Deliciously fresh, local seafood is served for lunch and dinner and there are special offers for two of three course meals. Anchorage Restaurant is open for breakfast 7 days, lunch 5 days (excluding weekends) and dinner 6 days (excluding Sunday).

Staff are happy to accommodate needs for special functions. Up to 60 people can be catered for, for weddings, conferences and seminars.

Getting There: How to get to Anchorage Restaurant and Cocktail Bar: From Sydney About one hour drive to Sydney's southern suburbs via the Princes Highway (F6 Freeway). From the Southern Highlands About 45 minutes drive time via either Mount Ousley Road/Picton Road and the Hume Highway (F5 Freeway) or Macquarie Pass/Illawarra Highway. From Canberra About 2.5 hours drive time along the Hume Highway to the Picton interchange and the Picton Road/Mt Ousley Road, or to Moss Vale and the Illawarra Highway.

I attended a dinner booking for a group of 14 at the Wollongong Anchorage restaurant. Our first problem started as we arrived to find that our table was set in the shape of an L. The Anchorage restaurant is located at the back end of a dated motel... it is like stepping back in time when you enter it. However inside the restaurant, the views out to the harbour are spectacular. Just make sure you get their early for the best seats ... Read More
