Melaleuca Surfside Backpackers

Melaleuca Surfside Backpackers, is an architecturally designed, tranquil, backpacker retreat, set on 6 acres of natural bushland. Buildings have been created using wood and glass to maximise light, space and harmony with nature. Accommodation available includes cabins, dorm rooms, camping, tent hire and bays for vans.

Cabins are 4 share and consist of one room, with bunk style beds (one double in each cabin) there is a small deck with a table and chairs. Dorm rooms are 6 share (bunk style). All rooms contain a fridge/freezer and fan/heater. Camping is “free range” - you pick your own spot, with 5 acres of beautiful shady bushland to pitch a tent. If you don’t have a tent enquire about tent hire (limited tents available in Summer months). Shaded areas for kombi’s and vans are also available.

None of our accommodation styles are self-contained, bathroom and cooking facilities are communal. There are no cars on the camp grounds and no caravans. No powered sites.
