Birdwood Downs Station is the western gateway to the Kimberleys. It is located on the Gibb River Road, only twenty minutes from Derby.

For eastbound travelers it is a good place to prepare for the Gibb River Road experience. For westbound travelers it extends the feeling of freedom and outback experience and provides the opportunity to rest before returning to the shops, which are only 20 minutes away.

We offer a bush style camp ground with unpowered sites and free standing bungalows with dinner and breakfast.

Traveling eastbound or westbound, Birdwood Downs Station gives you a true rural and outback experience.

Tours: We offer a Homestead Tour and a more extended Ecotour on our property to show you the results of our sustainable land management program as well as the architecture that was choosen to suit the savannah conditions in a environmentally responsible way.
Tours: You can enjoy the beauty of our property with a horse ride through our paddocks with their boab trees. A special treat is the Sunset Champagne Trail Ride, where we take you on horseback to a 1500 year old boab tree to experience the savannah sunset while enjoying a glass of bubbly.
