Waipari is a 6,000 acre slice of outdoor lovers' heaven. Its native bush and forested slopes are home to deer, wild pig, goats and feral sheep. The air is filled with the calls of an abundant birdlife and the clear streams are an angler's dream.
Waipari is a 30 minute drive west of Turangi which is on the Southern shores of Lake Taupo.
The land is jointly managed, partially by the local people - who own the land and to whom it is sacred - and Dave Ratcliffe, one of New Zealand's most well respected hunters.
Hunters, including novices, are well catered for and there are a host of bush experiences - from bush walks to full-on adventure activities.
