Additional InfoFraser Island is a spectacular unspoiled paradise of sweeping beaches, breathtaking rainforests, natural lakes and wonderful scenery that justifies the World Heritage Listing. Fraser Island is just off the Queensland coast of Australia and only 3 1/2 hours drive north of Brisbane or flights can be arranged for you to fly in and land on the beach. Fraser Island has an abundance of freshwater perched and window lakes. Lake Boomanjin is the largest perched lake in the world covering some 200 hectares and has a shoreline of melaleuca trees.
