Details

Tours: From November to July our Dolphin cruise operates. A half day tour looking for the bottle-nose and indo-pacific humpback dolphins that call the Great Sandy Strait home. Morning tea included and transfers available from Kingfisher Bay Resort and Village on Fraser Island to the mainland. Pickup available from Hervey bay accommodation. We have averaged better than a 95% sucess rate of seeing the dolphins Sip champagne as the sun sets over the waters of the Great Sandy Strait. Join us for pre-dinner drinks with a cheese, dip and vegetable platter. The sail last for 90 minutes and includes your champagne, wine or beer and there is soft drinks and orange juice available as well. What a great way to wind down after a day exploring the island or an even better way to start your evening.
Further Information: The new Whale Experience Platform, allows you to go to water level or lower to get the closest to the whales. Most of the whales we see are 10 to 13 metres in length and 30 tonnes or more, that over 5 times our weight. So when you see a whale from Blue Dolphin you really see a whale!
