Castlemaine Art Gallery & Historical Museum

Founded in 1913, the Castlemaine Art Gallery and Historical Museum has acquired an extensive collection of Australian art works and historical items, housed in this heritage listed, elegant art deco building

The Gallery has always specialised in Australian art, paying particular attention to the works of the late 1800s, the Golden Period of Australian painting, and the Edwardian era. Contemporary artists are also well represented within the collection.

The Gallery Shop has a wide range of Australian art products for sale including local ceramics and textiles, books, reproduction prints and postcards, stationary and t-shirts.
